Title: Reunion Extravaganza!
News Story: We are excited to let you know that the Biennial Reunion Banquet and Dance and Thrill On The Hill Cookout will be held at the gorgeous Radisson Hotel in the Research Triangle Park. The banquet will be on Friday, July 1, 2011 starting at 6:00 PM. Our Thrill On The Hill Cookout will also take place at the Radisson Hotel around the swimming pool on Saturday, July 2, 2011 starting at 3:00 PM The price for admission to the two events is 70.00 for each adult, children 5 to 11 $35.00, children 4 and under no charge. Please be aware that seating is limited and will based on a first pay basis. The reunion will conclude with our Memorial Service on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at The First Baptist Church at 3:00 PM The Radisson will be the official hotel for the Alumni Reunion for those needing lodging arrangements. The contact number for reservations is: (919) 549-8631. Please call the hotel to make room reservations and payments. The Radisson is offering the members of O.C.T.S. a block of rooms at the rate of $69.00. Make sure you let the hotel clerk know you are with the O.C.T.S.—Lincoln High—Northside Alumni Association. We will also have polo style tee-shirts with our official logo for sale. These are embroidered heavy duty knit shirts and should last forever! The shirts are available in black or white with orange letters for a cost of $24.00. Your money should be turned in by Monday, June 20, 2011. For record-keeping purposes, make checks or money orders only payable to: O.C.T.S. - Lincoln High - Northside Alumni Association On July 2, 2011, you could be a mega millionaire! Please contact Kathrine Farrar at the PTA Thrift Shop or your class representative for raffle tickets in order that you will be eligible to win at least $20,000,000.00! Title: Monument Verification
News Story: The Alumni Association sends you warm greetings from Chapel Hill. You will be pleased to know that the construction of the monument is scheduled to begin on September 12, 2012. Remember to note your class as the year that you began school plus 12 and NOT the year that you graduated. We would like to have the names of all individuals that attended O.C.T.S., Lincoln High School or Northside Elementary on the monument regardless of your graduation status. Please verify that your monument information (name and graduation year) on the front of this correspondence is correct. Please send your monument informaton to David Mason, Jr. - 615 Car Drive - Chapel Hill, NC 27516. In order to avoid the possibility of not understanding your handwriting, you may also send the requested for verification by August 24, 2012 at the following e-mail address: dBestChurchSolutions@nc.rr.com. Email correspondence is our first preference. Calling all talented artists! We need one of our own very talented alumni to draw the tiger that will located at the top of our monument. What a great way to immortalize the artwork for the winner's legacy which would feature the artwork and the name of the artist on the monument. The tiger‘s color must be orange and submitted on black paper. The deadline for the submission of the drawing is August 24, 2012. The winner will be selected at our next alumni meeting scheduled for August 31, 2012 Please send your drawing to David Mason, Jr. - 615 Car Drive - Chapel Hill, NC 27516. The Alumni Association is calling everyone who wants to relive and help preserve memories of Chapel Hill. We welcome your recollections of any subject related to Chapel Hill and our schools in written, photo, audio and video form. We have the ability to scan and transfer photos, audio, and video if you do not. We will return your materials within a week.. As you may know, 2013 will be the year for our next Biennial Extravaganza. This will be our 40th year of the event. The logistical committee is planning on making this one the best ever! They are requesting your input for suggestions involving our children and grandchildren. It is our desire that they will continue this legacy and insure perpetuity of The Mighty Tigers! For those of you that have not paid your membership dues, please submit your payment of $60.00 at this time. You may pay your dues in installments of $5.00. Remember $50.00 goes toward any event that we will have for the fiscal year including the reunion. The remaining $10.00 is for administrative costs.
